What's a Contract?

A "contract" is an agreement between people, which can be oral or written. A contract requires an offer, acceptance, and consideration. There must also be a meeting of the minds to enforce a contract. Breach of contract may include liquidated damages defined by the terms of the contract. If not, the aggrieved party may seek either money damages or specific performance of the contract when money damages won't suffice.
